What does 8u/10u/12u/14u mean?

 

To determine your "competition age" US Lacrosse uses September 1st as the cut-off date for each division. Age segmentation is done in keeping with the best practices of Long-Term Athlete Development models.  More information can be found on the US Lacrosse website here.

The chart for the 2019-20 season is below.  In General:

  • 8U is for K - 2nd grade 
  • 10U is for 3rd - 4th grade (Novice in Box Lacrosse)
  • 12U is for 5th - 6th grade (PeeWee in Box Lacrosse)
  • 14U is 7th - 8th grade (Bantam in Box Lacrosse)
