RATTLERS COACHING STAFF
Club Director, Ben has coached lacrosse in Arizona since 2006. He is the former head coach of the Pinnacle High School Boys Lacrosse program and founded the Desert Ridge Rattlers in 2016. He has qualified every team he has coached for post-season play, most recently with Pinnacle's first D1 appearance in 2018. He won the 14U Cactus Cup State Championship with Phoenix Lacrosse Club during a run of finals appearances and led Horizon High School Boys Lacrosse to the Division II final in 2009.
Coach Nick grew up playing lacrosse in the Syracuse, NY area where the game originated. He played both Close Defense/LSM at Liverpool High School (NY), traveling up & down the East Coast in the summers on the highly competitive recruiting circuit for a nationally ranked CNY club lacrosse team. He ultimately chose to stay in state playing NCAA D3 lacrosse for SUNY Potsdam under Salisbury Hall of Famer Rick Berkman, where he was a 4 year starter at LSM and a Senior Team Captain. Nick was also awarded the "Crusher" award senior year as someone who always put in the effort to go above & beyond. He stayed on board with the team an additional 3 years as a Graduate Assistant, where he served as the Head of Recruiting and Defensive Coordinator. In his three years coaching in the program he boasted a 27-18 record and 3 playoff appeearances. In those three years Nick also help produce: 1 Coach-of-the-Year, 1 Player-of-the-Year, 1 Rookie-of-the-Year, 3 All-Americans, 19 All-Conference players, and sent 6 players to the legendary USILA's North-South Senior Game.
Coach Bethany played four years of Varsity Lacrosse at South Burlington High School (VT), earning All State and MVP honors. In college, Bethany played two years of Division I Lacrosse at the University of Richmond (VA), and coached High School Girls' Lacrosse in Richmond, VA. As a parent, Bethany helped coach youth sports in Denver, CO, and now she's a proud parent of three Desert Ridge Rattlers players!
Coach Rob played lacrosse in one of the nation's larget hot beds for the game at Farmingdale High School in Long Island, NY. After High School, Rob started on attack as a freshmen at Division I Stony Brook University (NY). Rob then transferred to the University of Arizona playing two years under legendary coach Mickey Miles Felton ultimately being recognized as a Western Collegiate Lacrosse League (WCLL) All-Star. Over the years Rob has coached at several lacrosse camps.
